Our Thoughts..

I did not like this one I don’t hate it like I do Starbucks. If there is nothing else then yes I would drink this and add a ton of Pumpkin Spice Creamer in it.. I don’t know I just was not feeling this.. Now do not get me wrong it smelled great it really did smell good enough to get me to stop what I was doing and get into the breakroom for the grand first pour..

Footnote: there is always excitement when we are tasting a brand for the first time.. It makes us all warm and giddy..

Now I added some sugar and half and half and well it was kinda bitter to me. To be fair this was my first cup for that day so no other coffees corrupted my taste.. I really did not get a very gourmet feel to this one..

Now out of five of us two of us did not like it me and the cleaning lady. But the other three interns we have loved it so it goes to show you in anything opinions vary. Our interns are from ages 25 to 31 so maybe its a younger generation thing I dunno.. So the only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself.. We hope you like it. This is not the first time I was wrong about a product for someone.. We do not know you and you do not know us so what we like is what we like. If we were all the same Life would be boring..

Now to be fair..

There was two other blends we found by Wicked Joe.. And we what the hell I figured that I would give the Company another shot..

First Up..

Wicked Joe Coffee Italian Whole Bean, 12 oz

From one Pisan to another I am not really a fan of Organic Coffee nor do I car if it’s Fair Trade or not.. I just want a great to good tasting coffee to get my daily grind on.. (Get it Daily Grind) (Nervous Cough Ahem).. Anyways..

I might be a little out of my mind here but I like this one much better its got a hint of Dark Chocolate in it and I really liked it especially with some peppermint Creamer it was really fantastic . And for the best part all four of us love it.. Yea the cleaning lady left for the day so it was just us and we will make a pot tomorrow when she is around so we can see what she thinks.. Seriously we are like that we are people persons and she is cool as all hell..

Last But Not Least..

Wicked Joe Coffee Sumatra Ground, 12 oz

About the product

  • Medium roast
  • Notes of dense chocolate and spices
  • Organic and Fair Trade
  • Craft roasted, premium beans

Now this one threw me for a loop I have never tasted anything like this before. I am not sure if its a good or bad thing I am really not. One part of me really likes it but it’s a weird kind of like.. The Chocolate is really awesome, but I am very unsure of the spices part again rather odd but a good odd. Once again I had a nice peppermint creamer and well maybe that was it sooo I dunno . I would definitely drink this again and buy it but just for that odd factor alone..

Now all 5 of us were there and 4 of us liked it and the Cleaning lady did not. She really didn’t make a face of disapproval but took a few sips and shook her head no.. Again opinions and people tastes vary and well who knows right you if you choose to buy it like it then awesome very glad you enjoy it..

And there you have it ..

Your Coffees of the week again we love drinking coffee and telling you guys about it . I mean we love drinking it so do not get us wrong there but. If we stumble on something you like and you get to enjoy it then we did our job..

Newman’s Own Organics Special Blend Keurig Single-Serve Medium Roast Coffee K-Cup Pods, 32 Count.

Best Coffee Newman’s Own..

This inspired blend of medium-roasted Central American coffees and darker-roasted Indonesians is rich and robust, with ample body to stand up to all the cream and sugar that you might want to add to the party.

Our Thoughts.

First off I do not drink organic coffee. It is never my first choice I will buy Starbucks before any organic. I’m not saying Starbucks is bad I just never like it. For some odd reason I’m just saying. Now This was actually given to me to drink by one of our interns playing. A little joke on me so for the whole day I was drinking it. Never noticed a difference and I really liked it. In fact when she told me what she did I just laughed and said no way. Then I finished the pot. Yes we have one of those huge Keurig makers and it is awesome..

Anyways..This coffee was so good I could not even get mad. But again this is just my opinion. I cannot speak for everyone else. Hell millions of people like Starbucks and well I just don’t. Does that make me a madman ? I hope not but the moral of the story is differences of opinion. To be honest I hope you try it and actually like it.

We Review Equal Exchange Organic Ground Coffee https://orderthebestcoffee.com/2019/01/28/we-review-equal-exchange-organic-ground-coffee/ Mon, 28 Jan 2019 01:31:50 +0000 http://orderthebestcoffee.com/?p=255 Equal Exchange Organic Ground Coffee, Mind Body Soul, 12-Ounce Bag

So today me and the 3 interns decided to make a few cups of this stuff there is usually 5 of us but one went home (Sissy) (And Yes I know he will read this) . Again if you have been following us you will know that I am not a fan of the Organic Coffee don’t know why but I am just not. But just my luck I am surrounded by people that do. But I do like the fact that true farmers make this stuff..

Now I decided to try one cup black not bitter at all , the taste was kind of mediocre but way better than your normal Dunkin Donuts Coffee By Far. Oh yea this is not some regular coffee you can just by at your local WAWA or 7/11 . Now I have had some pretty good ones this week this is like a few notches below the best one I drank this week.

Now for my second cup I had some Hazelnut Creamer an a lil sugar and it pretty much gave it a smoother taste. So maybe this is not one of the coffees you can have black . I was very light on the creamer as well so I gotta say maybe it grew on me I don’t know. But some coffees are just better black with sugar and well some are not I suppose.. But I did taste some yummy Butterscotch and a hint of raisin so that was very cool..

Now do not get me wrong it’s still not the best I have had this week. But and a big but it is.. For $7.99 it was way better than McDonalds or Circle K coffee so it is very worth it to order this one if you would want to.. Again opinions and tastes do vary so I cannot speak for you. So maybe it would be worth it for you to try it. If you do I hope you like it if you don’t that is fine as well . Remember we are just here to have fun drink some joe and let all you know what is outhere..

About The Company..

At Equal Exchange, our concern for the quality of small-scale producers’ lives is matched only by our attention to the quality of our finished coffee. From farmers to cuppers, we’re professionals. And every choice we make contributes to the exceptional character of Equal Exchange coffees. We’re proud of how good our brews taste. And we want you to know about it!

CULTIVATION

Yes, Equal Exchange’s Authentic Fair Trade model makes a positive impact on small scale farmers’ livelihoods and on the health of the earth. But it also improves our finished coffee’s quality! EE coffee buyers communicate regularly with producers. Because we’ve built these direct and longstanding relationships, we stay up-to-date about growing conditions that may affect the beans. Our partners grow on land that they control, so they have a vested interest in using sustainable and organic methods, avoiding chemicals, and keeping the soil rich for many years to come. Agronomists within the farmer co-ops bring specialized technical training to bear. And the cooperative structure encourages farmers to share information about cultivation practices that improve harvest and yield.

SOURCING

In the coffee industry, international buyers dominate conversations about quality, too often leaving producers in the cold. The people who grow coffee for other companies might not know how much their crop is worth on the market or how they can produce better coffee. Our model is different! Equal Exchange works directly with producers to communicate our expectations. We pay bonuses – higher still than the high floor price for Fair Trade – when product is especially excellent.  We promote opportunities for producers to learn sensory analysis techniques. This knowledge enables farmers themselves to make minute adjustments as they grow and process their crops.

ROASTING

Equal Exchange’s worker-owned coffee roasting operation is the largest in the U.S., with two machines in use. The members of our production team have a unique skill-set – they’re scientists of coffee as well as artists. Roasters observe the precise times and temperatures that keep our coffees consistent. But they also analyze on the fly, making adjustments when needed, with a goal of bringing out the innate qualities of the green bean – balancing acidity with sweetness, accentuating certain flavor notes, or enhancing mouthfeel. Roasters check each batch of coffee with a ColorTrack Laser Color Analyzer — using a rating system common across the specialty coffee industry — to scientifically test the classification of the roast. Our machines fire five days a week, which ensures the freshness of the coffee we ship out.
